5:30 PM-8:00 PM EST
Facilitated by Adriane Stare, NYC-Based Babywearing Expert, Postpartum Doula, Lactation Educator and Mom.
Baby carriers do good things for babies. They help with feeding cues, settle gassy stomachs, build strength, lessen crying and improve sleep. For millions of years, human parents have used slings and soft carriers to keep their children close, while also attending to their own needs. Today, the practical benefits are still numerous – a properly-fitting carrier makes it much easier to soothe a fussy or tired child, to get outside in nature with your baby, or to maneuver in the tight spaces of cities (like buses, subways, stairways and shops.) Oh – and your hands are free too! 🙂
In this 2.5-hour seminar you will learn:
- The many evidence-based benefits of babywearing for all families
- The 5 styles of carriers that are optimal for infants
- How to wear any carrier safely and comfortably
- How to choose the perfect carrier(s) for your family
This class is ideal for expectant families, and families with newborns who are interested in learning everything there is to know about babywearing all in one sitting. If you need extra help trouble-shooting a carrier that you already own, this class includes a comprehensive list of follow-up resources, links and video tutorials to help bolster your learning as you embark on your babywearing journey! You will also have access to the recording of this class to refer to as you practice with your baby.
